Evansburg, Alberta – On November 19, at 2:53 a.m., Evansburg RCMP responded to an alarm at a rural residence and as a result, launched an investigation into an attempted murder and theft.
The RCMP were alerted that were was a home invasion and responded to locate a seriously injured 52-year-old male. He was transported to an Edmonton hospital. Information was received that three male suspects attacked him, searched his residence and then stole his truck and left him.
Investigation has resulted in charges against 39-year-old Lisa Filewich of no fixed address. She is facing charges of attempted murder, theft over $5,000 and possession of methamphetamine. A bail hearing has been held and she will remain in custody to attend court in Evansburg on November 28, 2016.
The RCMP are looking for three men who were involved in this attack. They are described as:
– Wearing a hoody
– Approximately 5’8” tall / 200 lbs
– Dark hair with 5 o’clock shadow on his face
– Wearing a hoody with a scarf covering his mouth
– Approximately 5’6” tall / 160 lbs
– Possibly named “Reynolds”
– Smaller than the other two suspects, no other description
