Seven people from Alberta and Saskatchewan arrested following CFSEU investigation

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – On Sunday, November 20, 2016, the Prince Albert Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) made several arrests after the culmination of a five month long investigation.

CFSEU investigators have arrested and charged seven individuals for their involvement in a sophisticated drug distribution network.

Police have seized the following:

  • 1035 grams of cocaine;
  • 10 grams of marihuana
  • An estimated $30,000.00 in Canadian Currency;
  • Four vehicles
  • An ATV
  • Numerous electronics.

CFSEU investigators executed five search warrants, three in Prince Albert and two in nearby rural locations and have now laid a total of 32 charges on seven individuals.

The arrests and searches involved over 35 police officers from the Prince Albert Integrated Street Enforcement Team (ISET), the Prince Albert Integrated Intelligence Unit (IIU), the Prince Albert Criminal Investigation Division (CID), the Prince Albert Patrol Section, The RCMP Prince Albert Detachment, Saskatoon CFSEU as well as Saskatoon Integrated Organized Crime North (IOCN) and the Saskatoon Proceeds of Crime Unit.

Subjects charged:

Kole Marchant, 28 years old of Prince Albert, is charged with:

1) Conspiracy to traffic cocaine Section 465(1)(c) of the Criminal Code.
2) Possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000.00 Section 354(1)(a) and 355(a) of the Criminal Code.
3) Possession of marihuana Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Alana Primeau, 31 years old of Prince Albert, is charged with:

1) Conspiracy to traffic cocaine Section 465(1)(c) of the Criminal Code.
2) Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Cody Evans, 23 years old of Prince Albert, is charged with:

1) Four counts of trafficking cocaine Section 5(1) of the Controlled drugs and Substances Act.
2) Two counts of possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000.00 Section 354(1)(a) and 355(a) of the Criminal Code.
3) Three counts of possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000.00 Section 354(1)(a) and 355(b) of the Criminal Code.
4) Possession of cocaine Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
5) Conspiracy to traffic cocaine Section 465(1)(c) of the Criminal Code.

Paige Klughart-McCormick, 21 years old of Prince Albert, is charged with:

1) Trafficking cocaine Section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
2) Possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000.00 Section 354(1)(a) and 355(a) of the Criminal Code.
3) Conspiracy to traffic cocaine Section 465(1)(c) of the Criminal Code.

Jolie Bird, 37 years old of Little Red First Nations, is charged with:

1) Two counts of trafficking cocaine Section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
2) Two counts of possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000.00 Section 354(1)(a) and 355(b) of the Criminal Code.
3) Possession of cocaine Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

4) Possession of marihuana Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Salvin Mudaliar, 29 years old of Edmonton, is charged with:

1) Trafficking cocaine Section 5(1) of the Controlled drugs and Substances Act.
2) Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking Section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

3) Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.00 Section 354(1)(a) and 355(a) of the Criminal Code.

Yousef Ismaeil, 28 years old of Edmonton, is charged with:

1) Trafficking cocaine Section 5(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
2) Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking Section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
3) Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.00 Section 354(1)(a) and 355(a) of the Criminal Code.
4) Conspiracy to traffic cocaine Section 465(1)(c) of the Criminal Code.

All persons have appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday, November 21, 2016. Six of the seven persons have been remanded in Correctional Centres, one was released on a Recognizance to appear in court at a later date. CFSEU continues to investigate.
