Grande Prairie RCMP Recover Large Quantity of Stolen Cigarettes

Grande Prairie, Alberta – The RCMP have recovered a large quantity of cigarettes after they were stolen from a local convenience store.

On November 23 at approximately 1:15 AM, two youths entered a convenience store in the area of 108 Street and 68 Avenue wearing a disguise. Once inside, they proceeded to steal a large quantity of cigarettes and tobacco products worth in excess of $1000. They fled the area on foot.

RCMP contained the area and quickly located and arrested the suspects. Both males still had the stolen tobacco products in their possession. The youths are facing charges of theft under $5000, wearing a disguise with intent and have also been charged with provincial fines for being a minor in possession of tobacco products.

The males were released and will appear in youth court at a later date.
