Traffic Stop leads to arrests for Trafficking, Firearms Charges

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – On Tuesday November 22, 2016 at approximately 1:25 a.m. Prince Albert Police Service initiated a traffic stop of a white, four-door Buick on the 1500 Block of 4th Avenue West.

Upon pulling over the vehicle it was discovered that the vehicle was wanted for impound by SGI. The officer also visually identified in the vehicle what looked like a weapon and other suspicious articles. The vehicle, driver and three passengers were arrested and searched. Several firearms, a baton, 3.3 grams of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia were seized in the search.

One female, aged 25 (Info # 33644280) from Saskatoon is charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession for the purpose of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Failure to comply with Undertaking Section 145 of the Criminal Code of Canada.

One male, aged 18 (Info # 33644381), from Sandy Bay is charged with two counts of Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
