On duty RCMP marked police vehicle involved in collision on Main Street in Penticton

Penticton, BC – The Penticton RCMP are continuing their investigation into the collision between a marked police vehicle and a private vehicle, which occurred Sunday afternoon in Penticton, at the intersection of Main Street and Warren Avenue.

On Sunday November 27, 2016 at approximately 4:00 pm, a collision occurred between an on duty marked SUV police vehicle and a motorist in a pick-up truck on Main Street and Warren Avenue. The impact also caused the police vehicle to come into contact with a second vehicle in the immediate vicinity of the initial collision.

Although there was substantial damage to the police vehicle and the pick-up truck, neither the officer nor the occupants of the two other vehicles suffered injuries which required immediate medical attention at the time of the collision. The Penticton RCMP Traffic Unit investigators are continuing their investigation into the collision.

No further information is being released at this time pending the completion of the investigation.
