RCMP investigate motor vehicle collision with two pedestrians

Spruce Grove, Alberta – At approximately 7:30 p.m., Spruce Grove RCMP received a report of a motor vehicle collision involving two pedestrians at the intersection of Brookwood and King Street in Spruce Grove. Two pedestrians were crossing at the intersection when they were struck by a vehicle.

A 75-year-old male pedestrian suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. The second pedestrian, a 73-year-old female suffered minor injuries. Both are from Spruce Grove and were transported via EMS to hospital.

The 22-year-old lone male occupant of the vehicle from Spruce Grove was not injured during the collision.

Traffic was diverted for several hours while members along with an RCMP Collision analyst attended the scene.

The investigation continues and further details are not available at this time.
