Valleyview, Alberta – The Valleyview RCMP, with the assistance of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit, Police Dog Section and High Prairie RCMP Members, executed two drug warrants on two separate residences in Valleyview on Friday November 25th, 2016. Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, packaging materials, cash and a prohibited firearm were located and seized by Police.
Approximately 7 grams of Crack Cocaine, .25 grams of Morphine, 40.75 grams of Cocaine, 42.50 grams of Methamphetamine and $1,800.00 in cash was seized.
Five people were arrested and have been charged under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Francine WHITELY, 48, of Valleyview, is charged with two counts of Possession of a Contolled Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of a Controlled Substance along with various firearms offences, including possession of a prohibited firearm. Other charges include property offences, and other firearms related offences.
Brent GARTON, 37, also of Valleyview, is charged with multiple counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking and Possession of Stolen Property.
Bonnie KINSELLA, 35, Maraya BADGER, 26, and Sara DIXON, all from Valleyview, are charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking, along with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
All of the accused are scheduled for their first appearances in Valleyview Provincial Court on December 1, 2016 at ten a.m.
