APD Arrest Dawson Creek Man for Child Pornography

Abbotsford, BC – In August 2016, a detective in the Major Crime Unit of the Abbotsford Police Department received information that an Abbotsford resident was uploading images of child sexual abuse. An investigation was initiated and a 41-year-old male suspect was identified.That suspect then moved from Abbotsford to Dawson Creek. Nonetheless, the APD Major Crime Unit continued their work with the assistance of the Dawson Creek RCMP and executed a search warrant at a residence in that community on October 25, 2016. A subsequent search of a laptop computer and file storage devices yielded evidence needed to support charges.

On November 21, 2016, Jason Christopher REEDEL was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Making Available Child Pornography. REEDEL was previously convicted of Possession of Child Pornography in 2014 as a result of a Langley RCMP investigation.
