Foul play ruled out in death of woman

Moncton, New Brunswick – Foul play has been ruled out in the death of a woman whose body was found in the Petitcodiac River in the Greater Moncton area on November 27, 2016.

The Codiac Regional RCMP responded to the discovery just before 8 a.m., when a person walking on the trail behind the Château Moncton hotel noticed a body floating in the water. The body was retrieved on the Riverview side of the river a short time later.

An autopsy was conducted on November 28, 2016, where she was positively identified and foul play ruled out.
