RCMP investigate threats at Stony Plain School

Stony Plain, Alberta – This afternoon at 1:00 PM, Stony Plain/ Spruce Grove/ Enoch RCMP were notified of a potential threat directed toward a student at the Memorial Composite High School.

The RCMP responded immediately to investigate these concerns. At approximately 3:15 PM the Memorial Composite High School was set into lock down as a precaution while policed combed the area/and cleared the school looking for the suspect. The lock down has since been lifted and most of the students/staff have left the building.

Administration at the Memorial Composite High School and the Parkland School Division were advised immediately of this concern and prepared/distributed communication to Parents. At no time was any member of the public, school personnel or affected students at risk.
