Early Morning Double Homicide Under Investigation in Prince George

Prince George,  BC – Two persons are dead and one more is in hospital following an early morning targeted shooting in the City.

At approximately 2:40 AM on Wednesday January 25th, 2017, the Prince George RCMP responded to a report of shots fired on Foothills Boulevard near the intersection of North Nechako Road in Prince George.

Officers attended and located a vehicle with three adult male occupants. Two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene and one was taken to hospital for treatment of what’s believed to be non-life threatening injuries as a result of being shot.

The Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Section have been called in to investigate. Although the investigation is in its beginning stages, police believe this incident to be a targeted attack.

As a result of this homicide, police have closed Foothills Boulevard from North Nechako Road to the Otway Road Overpass. This stretch of road is expected to be closed for several hours and is necessary to gather evidence from the scene. All road users will be directed to an alternate route. Please avoid this area if at all possible.
