Edmonton death determined to be non-criminal

Edmonton, Alberta – Edmonton Police Service Homicide Detectives have deemed the death of a man on Jan. 14, 2017 to be non-criminal.

As such, the deceased man’s name will not be released.

On Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, the EPS received a report of a deceased man in a home at 143 Avenue and 34 Street. Homicide Detectives took over the investigation later that morning and the death was treated as suspicious.

An autopsy was completed by the Medical Examiner on Monday (Jan. 16, 2017) but the results were not released as the manner of death was still to be determined.
