RCMP led warrant enforcement in Prince Albert results in over 20 arrests

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – On January 30th and 31st, 2017 Prince Albert RCMP and Prince Albert Police Service with the assistance of neighbouring detachments, integrated units and specialized support units combined efforts to conduct a targeted initiative to execute outstanding arrest warrants in the City of Prince Albert and surrounding communities.

A total of twenty seven warrants were executed resulting in the arrest of twenty individuals on outstanding Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act(CDSA) charges. Eleven of the individuals have been remanded. There was a total of 108 charges in relation to the outstanding warrants. The warrants ranged from property offences, to CDSA charges, to crimes committed against persons.

“The collective efforts of all units involved has led to the execution of a number of outstanding arrest warrants. Targeted initiatives by police, like this one, are focussed on keeping our citizens and the communities of Saskatchewan safe.” says RCMP Insp.
