Cocaine discovered during Strathcona County RCMP traffic stop, Wainwright female arrested

Strathcona County, Alberta – On Tuesday February 14, 2017 at approximately 8:17 p.m. Strathcona County RCMP stopped a vehicle northbound on Highway 216 in Sherwood Park, Alberta for a traffic violation.

The officer located evidence leading him to believe that there were drugs in the vehicle and the female driver was arrested. Subsequently the vehicle was searched and police located what is suspected to be approximately 311 grams of cocaine and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Cindy EMTER age 47, of Wainwright, Alberta has been charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

EMTER has been released on a recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Sherwood Park Provincial Court on Wednesday March 1, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.
