Fort McMurray Police Seeking Witnesses to a Male that Pointed a Firearm in Public

Fort McMurray, Alberta – On Saturday, February 11th, 2017 at 8:00 pm, near the intersection of Franklin Ave and Riedel St, two males were observed arguing. One of the men pulled a handgun from his pants and pointed it at the second man. No injuries were observed, nor were any gun shots heard. Police attended the scene and made extensive patrols, but the suspect had already fled.

The male suspect is described as:

  • A black male
  • In his 20’s
  • 5’8″ and thin
  • Short black hair
  • Wearing a light grey sweater and light grey athletic pants.
