Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police have charged a 24-year-old man with drug and weapons offences following an investigation into drug trafficking activity at a residence near a day home.
On February 16, 2017 members of the Support Shift and the Downtown Policing Unit concluded a short-term drug investigation after police received numerous tips from the public regarding drug trafficking at a residence near a day home. Police executed a search warrant at a home along the 2200 block of 6 A Avenue North and recovered a small quantity of fentanyl pills, cash, knives, a replica handgun, conducted energy weapon and other drug paraphernalia. There were no occupants inside the home at the time of the search, but investigation determined that young children reside there.
Dillon Scott Lewis, 24, of Lethbridge, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime, possession of weapons dangerous to the public and child endangerment.
Lewis was remanded in custody to appear in court this morning.
