Lethbridge Police investigating sexual assault at Henderson Lake

Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police are investigating after a woman was sexually assaulted Thursday while walking in the park.

On February 16, 2017 at approximately 3:56 p.m. a 30-year-old woman had been walking westbound near the large playground on the north side of the lake when an unknown male approached her from behind, sexually assaulted her then left the area. The assault consisted of inappropriate touching.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his early 40s, average height, approximately 180 lbs. with short brown hair and a beard. He was wearing a brown shirt and beige pants

Police are advising residents to always be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity immediately.
