UPDATE: Athabasca RCMP Investigate Stolen Truck and Trailer – RECOVERED

Athabasca, AlbertaOn February 23, 2017, the Athabasca RCMP received a tip from the public about a suspicious trailer parked in a field behind a tree line east of Athabasca.  It matched the description of the trailer stolen on February 22, 2017.   The trailer was located by the Athabasca RCMP and it has been confirmed as the stolen trailer.  It appeared undamaged and will be returned to the owner.  The white Ford F-550 truck has not been located at this point.

BACKGROUND:

Athabasca, Alberta – On February 22, 2017 at approximately 6:40 a.m., the RCMP in Athabasca received a report of a stolen vehicle. A white Ford F-550 pulling a large trailer had been left running outside the Super 8 for a short period of time. A male wearing a black hooded sweater and black pants jumped into the driver seat of the vehicle and drove away eastbound.

The truck is described as a white 2015 Ford F-550 with Alberta license plate BVV 2696. It was towing a large red boiler trailer with Elite Vac and Steam decals on the sides and bearing Alberta license plate 5FY 741.
