Edmonton Homicide detectives investigate suspicious death in northeast

Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a suspicious death in connection with a body discovered in northeast Edmonton on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., Monday afternoon, Northeast patrol members were called to a rural property near 258 Avenue and Meridian Street, after receiving a 911 call.

Upon arrival, patrol members discovered the body of a deceased female, believed to be in her late 30s, inside a vehicle.

Homicide detectives have since taken over the investigation. The Medical Examiner’s Office has scheduled an autopsy for Wednesday afternoon.
