Airdrie RCMP Responds to Reports of a Stabbing at a Residence

Airdrie, Alberta – On Feb. 23, 2017, at approximately 13:40 p.m., Airdrie RCMP responded to several 9-1-1 calls of a family disturbance where weapons were seen in the Prairie Springs area of Airdrie. Once police arrived and the scene was safely secured. Two men were subsequently arrested and taken into custody without incident. Both men were treated by Emergency Medical Services for none life threatening injuries.

Airdrie RCMP are currently on scene executing a search warrant at the residence.

The two men who were arrested have since been released from custody. Charges are pending for one of the men. Further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
