Tracadie man charged for accessing images of child sexual abuse

Tracadie, New Brunswick – A 25-year-old Tracadie man has been charged with accessing images of child sexual abuse.

The charge stems from an investigation conducted by the RCMP New Brunswick Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit in 2016. The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant, in November, at the man’s home in Tracadie.

Frederick Basque appeared in Tracadie Provincial Court on February 24, 2017, where he was charged with one count of accessing child pornography.

Basque is scheduled to return to court on March 22, 2017.
