Hatchet Lake man faces child pornography charges

Hatchet Lake, Nova Scotia – A Hatchet Lake man is facing child luring charges after an investigation by the RCMP Integrated Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit of the Criminal Investigation Division.

On February 22, ICE executed a search warrant at a home in Hatchet Lake. As a result, 40-year-old Michael Ross Maddeaux was arrested without incident and is facing charges of Luring a Child and Possession of Child Pornography.

He was released from custody on conditions and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on May 1 at 9:30 a.m.

The investigation is continuing.
