Three Medicine Hat Residents Charged with Mischief

Medicine Hat, Alberta – On March 2nd at approximately 7:30 PM members of the Medicine Hat Police Service responded to a report of a vehicle that appeared to have had the driver’s side window broken, possibly from a pellet gun. Later in the evening, at approximately 10:00 PM another citizen alerted police to a vehicle with several occupants shooting a BB gun.

Police obtained a description of the vehicle which lead to officers locating both the vehicle and occupants. Several BB guns were seized at the time of the traffic stop and three people were arrested.

Police are aware of at least 20 vehicles in both Medicine Hat and Redcliff that were vandalized. The investigation is continuing in partnership with the Redcliff RCMP.

Kyle Dick and Brayden Beauchesne, both 19 years old of Medicine Hat, AB have been charged with Mischief to Property Under $5000. They will appear in court on April 10, 2017. One youth was also charged with Mischief to Property Under $5000 as a result of this investigation.

The investigation is ongoing and residents who have not already done so are encouraged to report any damage to their respective police agency. Medicine Hat residents can report in person by attending the MHPS or calling 403-529-8481.
