Airdrie, Alberta – RCMP in Airdrie are continuing to investigate after a stolen locksmith van was recovered last week and found to have the contents removed.
Airdrie RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) are re-issuing a request for information from the public to help solve the case.
“We would like to hear from anyone that might have been in the Mackenzie Way apartments area and saw the van on the night of the 27th,” says Sgt. Kent Dahl, Airdrie GIS. ” We have completed a forensic examination of the van and now we are hoping for tips to help advance the investigation.”
The van was stolen overnight on February 27th and recovered the following day on Airdrie city limits, just west of 24th street on township road 264. The contents of the van, including equipment and tools used to create keys and information for some Calgary Housing Company buildings, have yet to be recovered.
