Sudden Death Investigation Underway in Winnipeg – UPDATE

Winnipeg, Manitoba – On March 8, 2017 at approximately 7:20 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of McGee Street regarding two unresponsive adults.

The deceased have been identified as a 31 year old female and 23 year old male.

Although drug paraphernalia was located, the cause of death has not been confirmed.

The investigation is continuing


On March 7, 2017 at approximately 12:10 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the rear of the 200 block of Isabel Street regarding an unresponsive male.

The male was transported to hospital in critical condition where he was later pronounced deceased.

The circumstances are unconfirmed at this time however; the investigation continues.

The deceased has been identified as 51 year old, John George SUMNER who resides in the area.

Notifications have been made and the results of an autopsy/toxicology are still pending.
