Winnipeg Therapist Charged With Allegedly Sexually Assaulting Multiple Patients

Winnipeg, Manitoba – The Winnipeg Police Sex Crimes Unit has been involved in a long-term investigation involving allegations of sexual assault beginning in the spring of 2016.

In late January and early February, 2017, two victims contacted investigators. The two adult female victims advised that they had both been victims of sexual assaults that had occurred, one in 2012 and one in 2014. The assaults were alleged to have happened while the victims were in a client – patient relationship with a male practising as an Osteopathic Therapist in a clinical setting.

It’s alleged that the victims, while receiving therapy at a location in the Wildwood Park area, were inappropriately touched and sexually assaulted. The victims were not known to each other.

As a result of the investigation a 50-year-old male from Winnipeg was arrested on March 8, 2017. He was charged with:

  • Sexual Assault x 2

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear.
