Gunshots Fired in Gregoire Lake First Nations Reserve

Fort McMurray, Alberta: At 1:30 PM on March 23rd, 2017, police responded to reports of gunshots being fired in a residential area of Gregoire Lake First Nations Reserve. Witnesses reported that a newer model, grey, four door car, that had a licence plate with green lettering, may have been involved.

Police are in the area, and are continuing to investigate. This did not occur anywhere near the school. At this time, police can say that there is no indication of threats towards the schools or the general public.

An update will be provided when more information is available.
