Search warrant leads to three being charged with drug offences in Edmonton

Edmonton, Alberta – On March 20, 2017 members of the Spruce Grove/ Stony Plain/ Enoch Drug Section, with the assistance of the Edmonton Police Tactical Team executed a Search Warrant at an apartment in Edmonton.

Three people were arrested in the residence. The following items were located and seized during the search: Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Drug trafficking paraphernalia, a sawed off shotgun and Break in tools.

31-year-old Jonathan Roy Vanderhaak of Edmonton is facing the following charges: Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm without holding subsisting license, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of break in instruments, 6 counts of failure to comply with a recognizance, and two counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition.

37-year-old Jocelan Yeomans of Edmonton is facing the following charges: 2 counts of trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm without holding subsisting license, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of break in instruments.

29-year-old Ashley Noel Actimichuk of Edmonton was arrested on outstanding warrants for assault with a weapon.

Vanderhaak and Actimichuk were remanded into custody while Yeomans was released on a recognizance. All three are scheduled to appear in Edmonton Provincial court later this month.
