Lloydminster Search Warrants Recover Stolen Weapons and Property, Two Charged

Lloydminster, Alberta – On March 16, 2017, the Lloydminster General Investigation Section executed a search warrant in the 2600 block of 45 Avenue in Lloydminster.


As a result of the search warrant two stolen firearms were located. As a result of the first search, a second search warrant was then executed in the 5700 block of 59 Avenue in Lloydminster. Inside this location a stolen utility trailer and two stolen snowmobiles were recovered. Police also seized brass knuckles, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. The value of the recovered stolen property was approximately $32000.

search-warrantDustin Caplette, 35 years old from Lloydminster and Bronson Cook, 25 years old from Lloydminster have been charged with three counts of Property obtained by crime, two counts of Possession of a controlled substance, and Unauthorized possession of a firearm. Caplette was also charged with Failing to comply.

Both parties appeared before a Justice of the Peace and will appear in Alberta Provincial court on March 27 and April 4, 2017.
