Maple Ridge, BC – A four month long investigation led by Ridge Meadows RCMP’s Street Enforcement Unit resulted in five persons being charged with selling fentanyl.
The Street Enforcement Unit (SEU) works closely with our Crime Analyst tracking street drug and property crime trends. Based on the intelligence and data collected the unit developed a project targeting street level drug trafficking. This project started in late November, 2016 and over the course of the lengthy investigation SEU identified suspects, collected evidence, and prepared reports to Crown Counsel recommending trafficking charges.
Sgt. Mitch Fox who is in charge of SEU said, “The investigation and subsequent charges against these individuals sends a clear message this won’t be tolerated in our community. Fentanyl is a highly potent and addictive synthetic opioid analgesic that is estimated to be up to 100 times more potent than morphine and we can’t have this on our streets.”
Charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, Section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act, are:
Bobbi Passmore (female age 34); one count
Dylan Jay Friesen (male age 36); two counts
Joseph Grant Bardonnex (male age 36); three counts
Zoe Diana Elizabeth Dore (female age 20); one count
Cameron Zachary Cater (male age 22); two counts
All arrested are from the Maple Ridge area. The matter is now before the courts and police cannot make any further comment. Police believe these arrests will contribute to a safer community for our citizens.
