Hopedale RCMP charge impaired snowmobile operator

Hopedale, Newfoundland and Labrador – Hopedale RCMP has arrested and charged a 23-year- old female resident of the community for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

Just before noon on April 6, 2017, the Hopedale RCMP received a complaint of an impaired snowmobile operator driving in the community. Members of the Hopedale detachment, with the assistance of the local Community Constable, were quickly able to locate the woman and arrested her for impaired operation of a vehicle. The woman was brought to the Hopedale detachment where she provided breath samples that were in excess of the legal limit of 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml blood.

The woman will appear in Hopedale Provincial Court on May 9, 2017.
