Police identify those responsible for suspicious boat fire

St. Anthony, Newfoundland and Labrador – On April 9, 2017, at approximately 5:30 p.m., St. Anthony RCMP responded to a suspicious boat fire at the wharf in the community of St. Lunaire-Griquet.

A quick response by the St. Lunaire-Griquet Volunteer Fire Department salvaged the vessel, which sustained extensive damage, and ensured the fire did not spread to other boats at the slipway.

Police have identified and determined that three youth were responsible for the fire and the matter is still under investigation.
