Homicide detectives investigating suspicious death in northeast Edmonton

Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a suspicious death that occurred overnight in northeast Edmonton.

Northeast Division patrol officers responded to a call for assistance from a residential address near 130 Avenue and 32 Street, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Monday, April 17, 2017.

Upon arrival, members found a deceased 53-year-old female inside the home. Homicide Section has now taken over the investigation.

An autopsy has not yet been scheduled, as the Medical Examiner’s Office is closed this holiday Easter Monday. Additional information will be released upon completion of an autopsy later this week.
