RCMP are investigating a suspicious death; body found on a rural Forest Service road in the Hope region

Hope, BC – On April 20, 2017 at approximately 7:30 a.m. Hope RCMP supported by Chilliwack RCMP Serious Crime Section officers responded to a report of a body found on a rural Forest Service road in the Hope region. Upon attendance the body of a deceased individual was located by police.

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off until this evening. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with the UFVRD RCMP.

Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase, no further information will be provided at this time. Further information will be handled by the IHIT Media Relations Officer.
