Grande Prairie RCMP Return Stolen Vehicle to Rightful Owner

Grande Prairie, Alberta – On April 20, 2017 RCMP General Duty officers with assistance of the General Investigation Section recovered a stolen truck, which resulted in the arrest of one Grande Prairie male.

A local company reported their work truck stolen on the morning of April 20. Through GPS tracking, police were able to locate and follow the truck for a short distance in the area of 118 street and 101 avenue. Police were also able obtain a description of the male driver. Police lost sight of the truck for a short amount of time, but were able to locate the vehicle in the parking lot of a hotel. The vehicle was unoccupied at this time however, a male fitting the description of the driver was located inside the restaurant of the hotel where he was subsequently arrested without any incident.

James Cameron NOBLE has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Possession of stolen property over $5000.00
  • Possession of stolen property under $5000.00 x 3
  • Drive while prohibited
  • Identity Fraud
  • Possession of forged document

The truck has since been returned to the rightful owner.

NOBLE is to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on Monday April 24, 2017.
