Remains of Second Hunter Recovered

Fort Chipewyan, Alberta – On May 1, 2017, a second missing man was recovered from the Rocher River shortly before 5:00 p.m.

RCMP sends its condolences to the family during their time of grief.

The RCMP, with the assistance of the E Division Underwater Recovery Team (British Columbia), K Division Air Services, along with the various partners, including Parks Canada, continue the search for the two remaining men.

The Edmonton Medical Examiners’ Office will be conducting an autopsy, however the date has yet to be determined.
Our thoughts are with the involved families and the community of Fort Chipewyan during this difficult time.
