Body of Deceased Male Discovered in Regina

Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is conducting a death investigation after the discovery, this morning, of the body of a deceased male.

Police were dispatched at approximately 5:28 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, to an area east of the Highway #1 Bypass, south of Assiniboine Avenue. A driver, in the northbound lanes of the Highway #1 Bypass, reported what appeared to be a deceased person, in a field east of the roadway. Police attended and located an adult male, who was confirmed deceased. The male has been identified and notification of his next of kin is underway.

Police are working in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner to fully investigate and clarify the circumstances surrounding this death.
