Officer Involved Shooting in Winnipeg, 25-Year-Old Male Arrested

Winnipeg, Manitoba – At approximately 12:20 this afternoon our communications centre was advised of an officer involved shooting in the second floor skywalk of 266 Graham Avenue.

An on-duty officer of the Winnipeg Police Service discharged their firearm. A civilian was shot and transported to hospital in unstable condition.

The Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) has been notified and will assume jurisdiction over the investigation.

The civilian has since been released from hospital and arrested for his involvement.

Joshua Pardy, a 25-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

  • Assault with a Weapon (x5)
  • Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

He has been detained in custody.
