Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police are hoping to return a wallet containing a significant amount of foreign currency to its rightful owner.
On May 11, 2017 police responded to Bibles For Missions thrift store along the 1000 block of 1 Avenue South after a staff member located a wallet that was found to contain a large sum of foreign currency. The wallet, which did not contain any ID, was subsequently turned over to police.
Police are hoping the power of media and social media can help locate the rightful owner.
Proof of ownership will be required in order to claim the wallet including a description as well as the type and amount of currency it contains.
Police thank the Bibles For Missions staff for their honesty and integrity in keeping the wallet safe and turning it in.
The owner of the wallet or anyone with information is asked to contact the LPS Property and Exhibits Unit at 403-330-5017 or attend the police station.
