Airdrie Rural RCMP Requesting Assistance with Theft of Lottery Tickets

Balzac, Alberta – Airdrie Rural RCMP are asking the public for information to help identify a male responsible for the theft of lottery tickets from the Gas Plus located on Township Road 262 in Balzac.

On Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at approximately 3:45 pm, a lone male entered the Gas Plus in Balzac and attempted to steal lottery tickets and vehicle keys from the store. The male then fled from the store on foot. Upon, exiting the store, the male observed a Community Police Officer outside and tossed the stolen items on the ground. The male then got into a 2016 Toyota Corolla rental car with BC plates with two other passengers and fled.

Male suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • Approximately 6’0” tall and average build
  • Bald head, not clean shaven, and full sleeve arm tattoos
  • Wearing a black t-shirt, black pants, and black Under Armour sneakers
