Evansburg RCMP Investigate Damaged Community Mailboxes

Niton Junction, Alberta –Evansburg RCMP are currently investigating separate reports of mischief to rural community mailboxes.

On May 12, 2017 Evansburg RCMP were dispatched to a rural area in Yellowhead County where a community mailbox was vandalized on Township Road 552. On May 14, 2017 Evansburg RCMP investigated another report of a damaged community mailbox on Township Road 553. Residents’ personal mail was missing and the mailboxes will need to be replaced.

The investigation is ongoing and Evansburg RCMP would like to encourage residents to report suspicious persons and vehicles in their area.
