Regina Police Charge 23-Year-Old Male With Manslaughter of 19-Year-Old

Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Police Service has charged twenty-three year old Cheyna PEIGAN with Manslaughter contrary to Section 236 of the Criminal Code in relation to the death of nineteen year old Andrew PASAP on May 20, 2017.

On Saturday, May 20th, 2017, at approximately 2:23a.m., police received a call of an injured male in the 800 block of Albert Street. Police and EMS attended and located the nineteen year old injured male. EMS transported the male to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The responding officers requested additional resources, including Forensic Identification, Major Crimes Unit, as well as the Coroner. The notification of next-of-kin has been completed.

Cheyna PEIGAN will make her first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court on Tuesday May 23, 2017, at 9:30a.m..

BACKGROUND:

The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is conducting a death investigation after the discovery of an injured nineteen year old male in the 900 block of Albert Street.
