RCMP Seeking public’s assistance in relation to an attempted home invasion in Stony Plain

Stony Plain, Alberta – On May 15th, 2017 at approximately 9:00pm three unknown males attempted to force their way into a residence in the Westerra subdivision in Stony Plain.

One of the males was holding what appeared to be a firearm. A second male had a grey Pitbull dog with him on a leash. The residents of the home were able to push the door closed and call police. The males fled in a black GMC Terrain SUV. There is no known motive for this event, however police suspect it may be a case of a mistaken address.


Police are asking that anyone with knowledge of this incident contact the Stony Plain RCMP at 780-968-7200.
