Photos Released of Suspect in Residential Break and Enters in St. Albert’s Grandin area

St. Albert, Alberta – St. Albert RCMP is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in relation to a break, enter and theft that took place in Grandin Village area on May 16th, 2017.

A male suspect was captured on video surveillance using a stolen bank card from one of the break, enter and theft in Grandin Village. The stolen bank card was used at the Mac’s convenience store located at 2 Sir Winston Churchill in St. Albert.
The suspect is believed to be a Caucasian male, 20 to 30 years old, 5’10” to 6’0″ tall, medium build. He was accompanied by an unknown female.

“The St.Albert RCMP has released these photographs of the suspect to seek the public’s assistance in furthering the police investigation into these break and enters. We’re hopeful someone will recognize this man and notify police.” Says Cst. Avoine with St. Albert RCMP.

BACKGROUND

May 17th, 2017

RCMP respond to two Residential Break and Enters in Grandin area

St. Albert, Alberta – On May 16th, 2017, St. Albert RCMP responded to two residential Break, Enter and Theft in Grandin Village area.

At approximately 6:31 AM, St. Albert RCMP responded to a residential Break, Enter and theft that occurred sometime overnight. Unknown individual(s) broke into the residence through a possible unlocked door and stole house and vehicle keys. The unknown individual(s) also broke into a jeep parked in the driveway of the residence and stole a wallet. The homeowners never saw the suspect(s).

sa-2At approximately 9:49 AM, St. Albert RCMP responded to a second break and enter to a residence in Grandin Village area after homeowners reported hearing noises at approximately 1:30 AM on the first floor of their two story condo unit. Initial investigation revealed that unknown individual(s) broke into the residence through an unlocked door and stole 2 purses with contents, school bags and a Playstation 4. One suspect was seen by the homeowner’s daughter before he departed.

The suspect was described as :

• Male
• Approximately 6″
• Heavy build
• Wearing a dark red hoodie with the hood up
