Charges withdrawn against hit-and-run suspect; Edmonton Homicide Section continues to investigate

Edmonton, Alberta – Charges, including second-degree murder, have been withdrawn against a 31-year-old man in connection with the death of an 18-year-old male on Monday, May 22, 2017.

New information has led investigators to withdraw the charges, at this time, against Justin Handbury, 31, who was alleged to have struck and killed an 18-year-old male with a Ford F150 truck on May 22nd, following an altercation at a west-end residence.

Handbury will remain in custody on unrelated outstanding warrants.

No further information is being released as this time, as Homicide Detectives continue to investigate.
