Saskatoon Police Investigate Armed Robbery; Suspect Uses Handgun to Demand Cash

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Police are searching for a lone suspect after a business in the 3500 block of 8th St E was held up early Friday morning. Just before 12:30 AM a man entered the business holding a handgun and demanded cash. After staff turned over an undetermined amount of money, the suspect told the employees to lay on the floor as he left.

The suspect is described as 40-50 years of age, light color hair, 5’10” – 6′ tall with a heavy build. He wore a light brown jacket and black track pants with a white stripe down the leg. He had a grey colored piece of cloth covering his face. He also walked with a noticeable limp.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident and there have been no arrests.
