Provost Police Arrest Suspect Wanted in Prince Albert Double Stabbing

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – Prince Albert Police Service, working with Alberta RCMP law enforcement, has now arrested 33-year-old Phillip Peter Charles who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for two stabbings which had occurred on December 29, 2016. Charles was arrested by Provost RCMP in Edmonton, Alberta on June 6, 2017 and transferred into PAPS custody.

Charles is facing previous charges of break-and-enter of an apartment, mischief destroying property not exceeding $5,000, being at large on his recognizance to keep the peace and be of good behaviour for breaking into an apartment on 900 Block Central Avenue on October 16, 2017.

For the two stabbing incidents which occurred December 29, 2016, Charles is facing charges of wounding and/or endangering a life, aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, two counts of being at large on his recognizance to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Charles will face charges in his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
