Airdrie Rural RCMP Requesting Assistance with Stolen Vehicle

Balzac, Alberta – Airdrie Rural RCMP are asking the public for information to help identify a male suspect whom abandoned a stolen vehicle at the Century Down Casino in Balzac.

On Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at approximately 2:00 pm, a male suspect abandoned a newer-model, grey GMC Sierra 2500 in the parking lot of the Century Downs Casino located on Dwight McLellan Trail. The male then entered the casino and was observed on video surveillance. The male was in the casino for approximately 2 hours before leaving the area. The vehicle was later reported to Airdrie Rural RCMP as being abandoned. It was at that time, that it was learned to have been reported stolen out of Calgary at an earlier date.

Male suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • Approximately 30-35 years old, dark brown hair, clean shaven, and average height and build
  • Wearing a black coat, grey shirt underneath, grey “Red Dragon” or “RDS” brand ball cap, light denim jeans, white “Adidas” sneakers, and black sunglasses.
