Autopsy results and charges in relation to yesterday’s suspicious death in Edmonton

Edmonton, Alberta – EPS Homicide Detectives continue to investigate the death of a male that occurred early yesterday morning.

The Edmonton Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy yesterday, Thursday, June 15, 2017 and determined Clinton John Bluecloud, 29, died as a result of a stab wound and the manner of death is a homicide.

Michael Barber, 48, was charged with second degree murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

Several people were at the residence prior to police arrival. They are requested to come forward and contact the police.

The investigation continues.

This is Edmonton’s 22nd homicide in 2017.

 On Thursday, June 15, 2017, police responded to an altercation at a residence around 4 a.m. in the area of 72 Street and 144 Avenue. Upon arrival, police found two injured males. EMS treated and transported the males to hospital.

A 29-year-old male succumbed to his injuries and a 40-year-old male is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
