Winnipeg Police Seize 1.6 Kilos of Methamphetamine Worth $240,000. on Street

Winnipeg, Manitoba – On June 15, 2017, after an intensive investigation, members of the Winnipeg Police Service Street Crime Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant on a residential address in the 1000 block of Powers Street.

As a result, an adult male in his 30’s and an adult female in her 20’s (both from Winnipeg) were arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Methamphetamine)
  • Possess Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime

Both accused were released on a Promised to Appear

Investigators seized 1.6 kilograms of Methamphetamine. The street value of this drug is estimated to be $240,000. A quantity of cash was also seized.
